Galata 2 detail.jpg

The ottoman was originally conceived in Turkey, and introduced to Europe in the late 18th century. Galata is a small ottoman inspired by 19th century designs, but much lighter in weight and expression. The fringes makes for a floor-length curtain, concealing a hidden space to put things out of sight.

The seat is upholstered in surplus material from Mokasser’s main furniture production, allowing every ottoman to be a unique piece of design in terms of textile properties, structure and colour.
