Ni timers undamon

"Ni timers undamon" ["Nine hours head start"] is a partition wall that uses a found car door as the main component. The car door functioned as a safety barrier between a movable outside and an immovable inside. In this context, the car door has become a static and temporary partition of an indoor space. Nevertheless, the car door's archetypal shape and the construction around it create a distinctly asymmetrical and directional product, in contrast to conventional partition walls. The feeling of being outside or inside is still present, even if the rest of the car is gone. The car door originates from a 1996 Volvo 850, which according to the manufacturer itself was "a load-lugger and road-burner in one". The steel structure around the car door is welded on a small farm in Valdres. The yellow stripes are hand painted. The entire product rests on four rubber ferrules.
